Over the past twelve months, Changi Airports International has seen much achievement in growing its airport business.
One of Changi Airports International’s recent successes has been the conclusion of a strategic partnership agreement worth US$1.5bn with VietJet and SOVICO Group to develop the infrastructure and aviation services at the airports in Vietnam, including the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport. To Changi Airports International, the agreement also signifies its venture into another emerging market in Southeast Asia.
It is also interesting that besides the aforementioned strategic partnership agreement to develop the airport infrastructure in Vietnam, through its subsidiary Fukuoka International Airport Co., Ltd (FIAC), Changi Airports International signed an agreement with Airports Corporation of Vietnam that would allow for the resumption of Vietnam-Japan flights while expanding the flight networks and promoting tourism activity between Vietnam and Japan.
